Porterville. Jacob Peu, the energetic township entrepreneur from Katlehong continues his quest to bring the wine lifestyle through his brand “Jacob’s Quest” to the masses. At a sponsored wine and canapé event, held at the Porterville Golf Club and attended by stylish women who make up the main target group for the “Jacob’s Quest” lifestyle brand, Des Green, Greenacres Group founder, introduced the “JQ” story and Jacob Peu to the ladies.

Sibongile Mthembu, owner of “Beyond Your Vision Marketing” and a well known “Jozi” professional was the guest speaker at the event. She impressed the audience with her good-humour, wit and sparkling personality as she described the lifestyle of the modern and affluent black female in the predominantly male dominated South African society. The audience discovered that despite the perceived cultural differences between the races, women generally were concerned with the same real issues affecting daily life in this country. Topics that included crime, education, career opportunities for our children, corrupt politicians and the presidential succession issues looming large in our future.

“Only when we banish the demons of our past and reach out to one another, immersing ourselves in each other’s culture, will we truly overcome the challenges of our time”, Des Green emphasized as he thanked the audience and presented the proceeds of the evening to the representative of the local ACVV (Women’s Christian Charity Association). The ACVV support and care for the aged and the needy in the local Porterville community.

Jacob’s Quest wines were appreciated by all in attendance. Lucky draw prizes were handed out, affording Jacob the opportunity to get up close and personal with the local ladies of Porterville. They were impressed by the true gentleman that he is.
